Saint Laurent
A Parisian couture house founded in 1961 by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge, celebrated for putting women in tuxedos with the revolutionary Le Smoking.
About Saint Laurent
Founded in Paris in 1961 by designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Berge, the house presented its first collection in January 1962 and quickly redefined modern femininity, from the 1965 Mondrian-print shift dresses to Le Smoking, the 1966 tuxedo suit that put women in menswear tailoring for the first time.
Today the label is known for sharp Parisian tailoring, androgynous silhouettes and directional ready-to-wear, along with the leather goods and accessories that carry forward Saint Laurent's rebellious, boundary-crossing spirit.
