About Porsche Design
Porsche Design was founded in 1972 in Stuttgart by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the designer of the iconic 911, after he stepped back from the family car company. His first product, the Chronograph I, applied lessons from the 911's instrument panel to create the world's first all-black wristwatch.
True to its automotive roots, Porsche Design has built a reputation on functional, minimalist engineering, extending its precision aesthetic from watches into pens, eyewear, luggage, and technology accessories favored for their understated, industrial elegance.
