About Nicholas Kirkwood
Nicholas Kirkwood trained in shoemaking at London's Cordwainers College before launching his eponymous label in 2004 with business partner Christopher Suarez. His debut collection the following spring drew immediate acclaim, and in 2013 LVMH acquired a majority stake in the growing house.
Kirkwood built his reputation on architectural, sculptural heels crafted from unexpected materials, from shaved stingray to laser-cut mirrored leather, and became best known for the oversized pearl heel that turned his shoes into instantly recognizable objects of desire.
