About Maui Jim
Maui Jim traces its roots to 1980, when a Lahaina fisherman began selling sunglasses to sun-seekers on the beaches of Maui. Under the leadership of Walter Hester from 1991 onward, the small island business grew into a globally respected eyewear house without ever losing its Hawaiian spirit.
The brand is best known for its patented PolarizedPlus2 lens technology, engineered to filter glare while enhancing colour and clarity — a direct response to the brilliant light of the Hawaiian coastline. Maui Jim joined the Kering group in 2022.
