Founded in 1963 by Austrian-born shoemaker Kurt Geiger, the label began on London's Bond Street with a simple ambition: to bring continental European craftsmanship to British footwear. Geiger himself had fled Vienna in 1938 before building shoe businesses first in Australia and then in London.
