About Brioni

Brioni was founded in Rome in 1945 by tailor Nazareno Fonticoli and businessman Gaetano Savini, who set out to modernise men's tailoring with lighter fabrics, bolder colours and softer, more natural shoulders than the stiff suits of the era.

In 1952 Brioni staged the first-ever menswear runway show, in the Sala Bianca of Florence's Palazzo Pitti, helping to launch the "Peacock Revolution" in men's fashion, and its Roman ateliers remain synonymous with hand-tailored suiting of the highest order.
